I almost considered giving a good review here, but the food was tragically greasy and took forever to arrive, while the church bells chimed all night like a bad alarm. To top it off, I expected at least a complimentary snack for my troubles. Honestly, who could enjoy a stay like this?

Charming stay with delightful dining
From the moment we arrived, the welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. Our dog-friendly room was a delightful surprise, and the delicious breakfast left us energized for our adventures.
We were caught off guard as the restaurant was closed on Monday, but we quickly found nearby dining options. It would have been helpful to know in advance.

Charming stay with fantastic service
I had a lovely experience here, with a spacious and clean room that had a delightful cozy feel to it. The bathrooms were spotlessly maintained, and the powerful shower made for a refreshing start to the day. Breakfast was a treat, offering a hearty English meal freshly cooked to order. The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcomed, even accommodating our plans with an early breakfast. the bed could have used a little more comfort, maybe a mattress topper would help.

Just a reliable pick for a weekend break in Bourne with fantastic value. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and filling. Bring earplugs if you're sensitive to noise from the church bells nearby.

I absolutely loved my stay at The Bull Inn. The landlord and his wife created a warm atmosphere from the moment I arrived. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and included a nice touch of tea and coffee facilities. I felt very welcome by the friendly locals. The highlight for me was the dinner. Chef's steak was some of the best I’ve had, cooked to perfection with locally sourced ingredients. The breakfasts were hearty and served well. There was plenty of parking, and the location offered lovely walks, ideal for my dog. On the downside, the room wasn't made up during the day, which was a slight inconvenience, especially if staying longer. The room also lacked a plug in the sink. these minor issues didn’t detract from the overall enjoyment of my stay. I hope to return in the future.

The shower situation could use some attention. a handrail for safety would be ideal, especially considering the deep bath setup. room maintenance during longer stays is lacking, as my room wasn’t made up daily, which was a bit of a hassle. Watch out for very hot water in the bathroom, and it wouldn't hurt to have coasters available to protect those polished surfaces.
